THESE 2 CD'S HAVE MUSIC FROM 1927 TO 1949. BUT,"THE JOE BUSHKIN STORY" CD IS NOT THE VERSION FROM THIS MOVIE. THEY PUT IN HARRY JAMES VERSIONON THE CD.
I SHOULD SAY, THE MYSTERY ORCHESTRA. MAYBEDICK HYMAN THREW IT IN WITH THE REAL AUTHENTIC MUSIC THAT'S INCLUDED HERE. JOE BUSHKIN PLAYS IN THE LOWER REGISTEROF THE PIANO.
THE ORCHESTRA THAT PLAYS,"SEPTEMBER SONG" IS NOT HERE. I WOULD HAS GIVENTHIS CD'5 STARS, BUT, THE ORCHESTRA THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR ON THIS CD ISNOT THERE. WILL WE EVER KNOW.
THIS IS BOGUS. IT'S GREAT OLD TIMECLASSIC AMERICAN MUSIC FROM OVER 25 OF HIS MOVIES (NOT ALL OF THEM).
I only wish it included a few more songs from the film I was hoping for. Really enjoyable if this is your type music. If you enjoyed Hanna and Her Sisters, you probably loved much of the musical soundtrack from the film. Many of my favorite songs from the film are included on this disc, as well as many others from other films of Woody's.
Enjoy. I had been originally looking for some of his ragtime band music (the one that he still tours with) when I stumbled upon this beauty. A great purchase. The variety of music on this cd makes it worth the purchase alone, the cd case also tells you which movie the song was featured in. A very fun cd for any Woody Allen fan.
Thanks, Woody, my pal. Woody Allen is not only a great filmmaker, but he obviously has some great taste in music. This is one of my favorite jazz CDs in a fairly good-sized collection of jazz music, simply because it has a great variety, with classic jazz standards as well as obscure, beautiful little gems.
